The Boss Solution



The Boss website engine includes a website framework with a number of additional "modules" that provide functionality for common types of websites. They work together and are designed like the engine to be extended and built on top of. Here is a list of the current modules available along with a summary of their features.

Boss.CMS

Is capable of managing the pages, page content, menu's, templates and site wide settings like default page titles etc. Includes numerous page types and can be extended with Boss.Catalogue with category pages and products. Custom pages can be created with custom url's and custom console pages for managing them if required.
Features include:
  1. Create and edit pages
  2. Create photo albums, polls, news pages and contact pages
  3. Create "smart" links for inserting custom links into the menu structures
  4. Drag and drop pages within navigation tree
  5. Set up articles and pages to expire.
  6. Track last edit and first created dates and times
  7. Manage page templates
  8. Manage site media including images, file and documents
  9. Sophisticated bulk file uploads and image resizing

Boss.Client

Provides the base functionality needed for tracking individual clients through a website. Is essential for websites needing some form of membership system. Works closely with Boss.Cart in matching sales to clients and recording login information along with address details.

Features include:
  1. Optional Sign-up/Create new account page for your website
  2. Login page for existing clients on your website
  3. Allow clients to modify their account information such as contact details/addresses once they are logged in
  4. Allow opt-in for email newsletters
  5. Optional check for age declarations
  6. Create groups for organising your clients
  7. Lock down pages to to be viewable only by selected groups

Boss.Catalogue

For managing product listings.

Features include:
  1. Set standard and sale prices for products
  2. Create and edit product attributes and options (i.e S,M,L,XL)
  3. Track quantities when utilised with Boss.Cart
  4. Automatic category and product page generation
  5. Image resizing, thumbnails and "click to enlarge" sizes
  6. Expiry dates on products
  7. Unlimited products and categories
  8. Compare and sort products on their category pages
  9. Customisable product codes
  10. Group based pricing when coupled with Boss.Client

Boss.Commerce

Boss.Commerce is a module for handling payments and is currently a sub component of Boss.Cart but will soon be available as a stand alone module. This module is perfect for anyone wanting to recieve and process payments online.

Features include:
  1. Accept payment via credit card with most credit card payment gateways (major ones already supported)
  2. Accept payment via direct deposit, phone through credit card details, charge to account and pay on pickup, each payment type is optional.

Boss.Cart

The ultimate shopping cart based on the Boss.Framework, Boss.Client, Boss.Catalogue and Boss.Commerce modules. Full ecommerce capabilities and an ever increasing feature list.
